Learn From Human-Centered Design Experts

Jen Jiun Choi is an associate professor of the practice of design strategy with 15+ years of experience leading work at the intersection of design, technology, and business. A founding designer at Waymo, she pioneered the world’s first self-driving public service experiences, shaping autonomous mobility through a human-centered lens.

At Google, she built social and enterprise products from the ground up through rapid, iterative design cycles. At Local Projects, she created award-winning digital exhibitions, including the September 11 Memorial Museum and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Professor Choi now channels her expertise into mentoring the next generation of strategists, designers, and researchers.

Why BU’s Human Centered Design Master’s?

“At its heart, human-centered design is about putting people first. While tools and terminology will inevitably change, the ability to understand people, to navigate ambiguity, and to explain your rationale behind decisions is a skill that will never expire. In a world that’s constantly evolving, we are focusing on the things that make us more human.”
