Sydney Ko (COM '24) exemplifies the impact of the BU MS in Journalism program. As a WBUR Newsroom Fellow, she continues to pursue her passion for impactful storytelling, especially for those whose voices might otherwise go unheard. During her time in the program, Sydney gained crucial hands-on experience as a Statehouse Correspondent for the Daily Hampshire Gazette, where she reported on critical public policy issues like college accessibility, "death with dignity" legislation, and reproductive healthcare. Her diverse experience also includes roles as a Senior News Editor and Reporting Intern, demonstrating a commitment to factual, fearless journalism across various platforms.
