Pick Your Path Already a licensed teacher? Pursue an EdM (Education Master's) or CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study). New to teaching and seeking licensure? Pursue an MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) or a certificate program. For Elementary or Early Childhood, the EdM includes initial licensure built in.

When Meagan Comb (Wheelock’07) began her career as a classroom teacher and reading specialist. She saw the districts struggling to hire and classrooms missing high-quality instructional materials. Megan made reshaping broken systems her first top priority. She served as director of educator effectiveness at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and now leads the Wheelock Educational Policy Center as Executive Director.
